Happy St. Patrick’s Day guys! I hope you’re all doing something a little fun to celebrate today. We are dressing up in green, making Shamrock cookies and watching leprechaun movies over here and it’s been a blast ♥
On Saturday it started snowing and it didn’t stop until early Monday morning. We ended up with almost 30″ of snow! The boys were beside themselves and have been having so much fun playing in the mountains of snow that the plows made in the street. We’ve also spent hours sledding down the hill behind our house. And despite not feeling very spring-like outside right now, I’m really enjoying all of our spring decor that I have inside. It gives me hope of warmer days ahead!
Yesterday I went around and snapped some pics to share with you guys and I hope you enjoy this year’s spring home tour 🙂
Front Room
First things first, can you spot our new addition along the main wall? This beautiful piece was handed down to us recently and it actually opens up in to a desk that I’ve been using for work and blogging.
I shifted the mirror down and centered it over the couch and it feels like this room was always supposed to be this way. That wall always seemed so long and lost but now it’s perfect.
Sorry for getting sidetracked already haha, I’m just really excited about this new set up. Okay, back to the tour!
The entry table came together nicely and as usual I decided to use a lot of florals and greenery.
I found this cute weaved pillow cover on Amazon and it reminded me of an Easter basket.
It’s super soft and is currently only 8 bucks so run if you want to grab one!
On the other side of the room I popped my spring florals in to the hanging wall planters.
This view looks almost identical to last year with exception to the fact that I finally finished off that side of the stairs! After living with it open for two years I can still hardly believe it haha.
Here’s a few more shots of this room.
On the other side of the stairs is my little cabinet. I styled it using mostly things that I already had on hand, but the buffalo check/burlap eggs and birdhouse were new finds from Hobby Lobby that I just couldn’t resist.
Mudroom Nook
I popped some pretty white floral stems in the mason jars hanging next to mudroom nook. They make this spot super cheerful.
The welcome sign that I recently made doesn’t normally live in this spot, however it sure looks cute here, doesn’t it?!
Dining Area
I brought out my gray buffalo checked runner to brighten the dining table up a bit.
For the dough bowl I started with a pretty spring garland from Michaels and added some white flowers (also from Michaels but I cannot find a link). I then placed a couple of eggs on top, however the cat has taken to them as toys so most days they are missing and found underneath the furniture!
On the wall behind the table I styled the console table with as much spring cheer as I could squeeze in.
I actually almost threw the chicken wire memo box out a few months ago because I couldn’t sell it on Facebook Marketplace. I’m glad I kept it because it works perfectly in this spot.
Kitchen
I usually keep the kitchen pretty simple, however I had fun with a few spots like this section of countertop.
And the tray on the island.
Living Room
And finally, our favorite spot to be in the whole house!
I love how the wall with the card catalog dresser came together. From all the florals to the cute little bunny in front of the planter, everything in this spot just screams spring to me and brightens my mood whenever I look at it.
I’ve put off the fireplace wall until this fall because I want to do it all at once–the shiplap, the brick lime-washing and the built-ins. So for now I dress it up the best that I can.
The coffee table tray also got a few spring touches.
I thought that these buffalo check pillow covers were so spring like with the trimmed edges. A two pack was only $14!
I am so happy that you could swing by today. I hope you have a fantastic rest of the week and I’ll catch up with you guys next week!
