Winter/Valentine’s Front Porch Decor

January 20, 2022

Hello friends! I hope you are all having a nice week so far–I can’t believe that it’s already Thursday (but I’m also not complaining). Over the weekend I put the finishing touches on our front porch for winter and am excited to finally share it with you guys.

I basically just took down the Christmas items (signs, bells etc.) and tossed in a few things for Valentine’s Day.

I removed the lights from the alpine tree set and kept my wood wagon planter. I replaced the giant jingle bell that I had in the planter with this little resin snowflake that I found in the Michael’s clearance aisle.

I found this cute little Love sign at the Dollar Tree of all places, and I found that it looks super cheerful in front of my black metal lantern.

I found these little heart picks at Hobby Lobby and since they were red, I painted them white to fit in with my neutral pallet.

I scored this wreath on Michaels Christmas clearance for 5 bucks! I glued on a bow, and it looks so cute hanging on the door.

I kept the garland around the door and I left the lights on because I was too lazy to take them off just to put them back on next year haha.

I made the fun heart hanging for just 2 bucks! I purchased a wood heart and a galvanized heart from the Dollar Tree, then stained the wood with Espresso wood stain and painted the metal with white paint and distressed it before screwing it to the wood.

I’m loving how the porch came together, and it keeps our home feeling cheerful during the next couple of cold weeks. If you look very closely at the window in the picture below you can spot my little spy haha!

I am so happy that you could swing by today! Next week I plan to start sharing the tutorials for the DIYs that I did in the living room during the One Room Challenge. Better late than never, right?!

Love your winter porch! I’m so bad at getting out there in the cold to decorate my porch… especially since we don’t use the front door, so I’m never out there. I do like to make it pretty though… sigh. 🙂
