Hey everyone, happy Friday! A couple of weeks ago when I shared the new board and batten wrapped accent wall that we installed I mentioned that since taking the reveal photos I had actually decided to take down the clock and put the window pane mirror back up. I also said that I could still change my mind (wink wink). Here is a quick reminder:
After living with the mirror in that spot for a couple of days I decided that it didn’t feel cozy enough, so I swapped it with this bamboo mirror to bring in more warmth and texture.
When I got it hung up I quickly realized that it was way too small for the space! I was super bummed since I absolutely loved how nicely it coordinated with the full length mirror on the other side. I started brainstorming on how I could make it work, and the idea of wall baskets came to mind.
I’ve found wall baskets helpful in the past from a functional aspect. I hung some wire ones in our master bathroom for extra towel storage (tutorial here).
I also put a cool set of wall baskets in Tristan’s room to hold books and papers.
I had a feeling that some pretty decorative wall baskets would look good in this trouble spot, so I set out to find the perfect baskets and hooks to hang them from. I actually found two of each that I was torn between, but I ultimately went with these.
The wood knobs all have a different pattern and have such a fun whimsical and boho vibe.
I chose these rope baskets because the colors and pattern seemed to fit the space best.
I’m super happy that the mirror ended up being too small because I like the visual interest that the baskets ended up adding to this little wall.
I was hesitant to return the other set of wall hooks and baskets since I loved them so much, so I found the perfect spot for them in the laundry room!
These seagrass baskets are great for serving a purpose that I’ve been meaning to add in here for awhile–lint and dryer sheet storage!
These wall hooks are from the same company as the knobs and also have a different pattern on each one. Since I had a set of three, I used one on the other wall to hang this sign.
I already had the little labels holders on hand from Hobby Lobby and simply hot glued them to the fronts.
Doing laundry will never be fun, but when the space is cute and functional, it sure makes it a lot less painful!
Thank you so much for stopping by today my friend, I hope you have a beautiful weekend 🙂
