Happy Friday everyone! We made it through another week! I can’t wait for the weekend, even though it’s going to be a very busy one.
Today I want to share one of the easiest and cheapest ways to add interest to a blank wall. Scrapbook paper art!
These are so simple to make and I can’t believe it took me this long to think of it. One day while browsing Joann’s I found some scrapbook paper that was sooooo pretty. The only problem was, I had no idea what I could do with it!
Then I got to thinking, I had this empty picture frame laying around…
So I cut out my paper to the same size as the opening of the mat…
And realized that I cut it too small–whoops!!
Not to fear though, I knew the perfect fix that didn’t involve me driving back to the store and starting over.
I cut some pieces of coordinating ribbon that I had laying around and taped it on to create a border.
And just like that, my “whoops” turned into a good thing because the ribbon took it from okay to purdy π
I hung it in our guest bathroom.
So simple, right? An outsider would never guess that this is just some paper and ribbon in a frame, it looks like I got this from Homegoods for at least $15.
Keeping it short and sweet today peeps, I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and I’ll be back next week to share the progress on our floating shelves that I mentioned on Monday. Maybe even the big reveal if I’m feeling really ambitious?? :0

The border so makes your lovely art piece! I've been wondering what I wanted to hang in my craft room and now i know. I also like that I can easily (and inexpensively change it out in the future). Thanks for sharing at the This Is How We Roll Link Party on Organized 31.

How nice! We always have spare picture frames lying around – I'll have to suggest we put them to good use :).

Thanks for stopping by! You already have the most expensive part, the paper is cheap so that's great! π
