Happy half way through the week day!! I think this is the fourth week in a row that I’ve had a new post, amazing right?
I’ve been busy-busy working on getting little man’s dinosaur room ready. One of the biggest challenges is that I’m trying to spend as little as possible. I’m going to make the bed frame (soooo excited to get started on it!) and got lucky with some awesome sales at Target for the bedding, but I’m still left trying to figure out what to do with the walls. If you know me well, you can probably guess that I’m DIY’ing a lot of it.
Making my own art is not only cheap, but it also allows me to totally customize the colors which is really nice. I found www.wordle.net a few months ago and guys—-it is one of the coolest sites ever!
I began by spray painting some frames I found at Hobby Lobby on clearance for 99 cents.
I only spent a couple of minutes putting together my word art. Since I’m out of color ink at home, I uploaded my documents on Staple’s website and picked them up in a store. I chose a super thick quality paper since I’m not using glass on the frame.
I cut them to the size before popping them in the frames. It’s quick, free and custom! The colors I chose match his bedding perfectly.
To make your own super cool custom art, begin by going to www.wordle.net and click on the “Create” link from the home page.
Next, type the words that you want to include. You can include as few or as many as you wish, then click “Go.”
It will randomly select a font and color for your words.
Use the toolbar at the top to customize your font and colors. For the colors, they have a variety of color palletes to choose from, but you can click “Custom Pallete” then “Edit Custom Pallet” and a box will pop up for you to choose your own. You can choose how many colors you want to incorporate as well.
Play with the layout tab until you get exactly what you want. Once you are done you can either print or save and print later.
Isn’t that fun? ๐
Have a great rest of the week everyone! We have a wedding to attend on Saturday, but hopefully will squeeze in a little time to start building the bed. I can’t wait to share it with you!
