Fall Home Tour 2015

October 2, 2015

Happy Friday everyone!! It’s officially starting to feel like fall here in Colorado and I’m soooo excited. I started decorating for Fall the first week of September, but I just put the finishing touches up last week.

I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking in this post. Next week I’m going to share a few tutorials on some of the DIY items that you’ll see today, so stay tuned for that!

First up is one of my favorite spots in our home, our corner mudroom.

I put some fall foliage in the vase and made my own “Fall” sign.  I also took my burlap pillow case out of Christmas storage because I think it fits well with the other burlap I have here.

I kept our dining area pretty simple since I don’t like having too much on the table for my 2 year old to mess around with at mealtime!

I found these orange hydrangeas as Hobby Lobby and immediately knew where I was putting them.

The table runner is actually a super simple DIY.  Notice that I’m somewhat obsessed with burlap? πŸ™‚

I’ve been craving a cute pumpkin pillow and was over the moon excited when I found these dish towels (yes, dish towels!!) and was able to make one for only $6.

I’m really happy with how our mantle turned out.  I hate not having a real mantle (future DIY project…) but I think I’m making the most out of our cute little crown molding shelf for now.

I also moved the soundbar to the top of the TV, so I now have the entire space to work with which makes me kind of giddy πŸ™‚

I actually extended the white planks since taking this picture because I also put some up on the sides to hide the TV cords.

Look, more burlap!! πŸ™‚

I made new pillow covers and for the first time ever I actually incorporated some new colors.  It was hard for me to stray from neutrals but I’m glad I did because I like how cozy they make the space.  By the way, the orange and red ones are actually made out of cloth napkins.

I also broke my DIY sweater pillows out of Christmas storage because I love how cozy they look.

I adore all of the neautral fall home tours that I’ve seen, but I’m also loving the fun pops of color
that I decided to use.  However, I’m a neutral girl down to the core so
I couldn’t resist throwing in a white pumpkin…

I found some awesome little trinkets that I put on display by the front door.

I just HAD to have this pumpkin basket.  I even tracked the hubby down in the store and had him get it from the high shelf and everything haha!

Isn’t this pumpkin candle holder from Hobby Lobby adorable? Apparently Tristan thought it was too
because he pulled it down the first day I put it up and it shattered. I had to go get another one because I love it that much.  It’s now hot glued to the burlap to try to prevent that from happening again…

Thanks for stopping by to check out our Fall Home Tour! I’ll be back next week with those fun tutorials. Have a great weekend everyone πŸ™‚

Super cute and cozy ideas, Angela! I have that same dishtowel, but mine is still a dishtowel….if I make one more pillow, my hubby might throttle me! I'm here from Marty's party.
