Modern Farmhouse Spring Home Tour 2018

March 28, 2018

Hello friends! I hope you all had an amazing weekend. Ours was nice but seemed to fly by way too quickly. Although I am happy to report that for the most part we are now officially ready for Easter. We usually go all out at our house and it’s quite exhausting to prepare for. So I’m very excited that I got most of the items checked off of the list this weekend!

First there’s the big Easter bunny baskets to put together, followed by the small ones that I make from us. I also make favors to give to our family when they come over for the brunch that we host. Then of course there’s picking out the perfect Easter outfits for the boys. Even though I fully understand that they couldn’t care less and would be content running around naked the whole day!

It’s a lot of stress that I put on myself but it’s so, so worth it because I remember all of the effort that my Mom and Grandma used to put into making the holiday special for me. I have so many wonderful memories and I hope to pass some good ones on to the boys.

Anyways enough with the chit chat, let’s get to why you’re all here today which is so see my spring home tour! I finally finished up decorating this weekend and I am so happy with how it turned out.

So let’s get to it!

Let’s start with the little mudroom area that I created next to the garage entry.

I added some new floral to the pitcher and a little bunny statue.

I took the hot cocoa station off of the island (much to the boys’ dismay) and filled the tray up with a few pretty spring items.

I fell in love with the bunny towels as soon as I spotted them at Homegoods. And the mini white dessert stand from the Target dollar spot is perfect to hold my mini basket filled with eggs.

I kept our dining room fairly simple since the boys usually get too tempted to mess with stuff during mealtime if I have too much going on.

I made the runner tray out of scrap wood and then placed some galvanized pots with white tulips inside.

I also scattered a few eggs inside of the tray.

The floating shelves stay pretty much the same for all the seasons but I did add some white tulips to the olive bucket along with a miniature vintage toolbox filled with eggs.

The tray on the dresser also got a little bunny and a few eggs.

For the kitchen I recently purchased this Farm Fresh Eggs sign and it looks perfect in front of the cutting boards.

I also added a basket of colorful eggs on the counter. They make the kitchen feel super cheerful!

For my mini shelves on the side of the cabinet I put some baby’s breath inside mini galvanized buckets.
And my flower market bucket from last year’s entryway now sits on this ledge and I’m so happy with how much more visible it is in this spot.

For the mantle I put up a pretty garland and placed a few eggs on top.  Well, I taped them since they kept sliding off haha.

I think that the mix of the pastels and the bright green look super awesome together and my DIY wood block garland is the icing on the cake.

My DIY spring pillow that I made last year sits proudly on our new bench.

Have you started thinking that I got a little carried away with the eggs yet?? Just wait… because here’s more!!

I love how farmhousey this cardboard carton filled with speckled eggs look on this side table.

I don’t know, in my opinion you can never have too many eggs when you’re decorating for spring and they make me and the kiddos happy so that’s all that really matters to me!  They especially enjoy the egg tree that I have on their toy storage unit.

In the living room I threw a couple of striped lightweight throws on the couch along with some soft colored pillows.

I’m still smitten with this farm fresh eggs pillow that I got last year.

For the coffee table tray I added some spring flowers and a mini egg basket.

And last but not least is our real entryway that we actually very rarely use since entering via the garage with kids is a million times easier.

Thank you all for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed the tour!

I will be back next week to share all of the exciting details behind my next One Room Challenge. Stay tuned!
