Essential Oils from Simply Earth

May 31, 2019

Happy Friday friends! So today I have some SUPER exciting news and I absolutely cannot wait to share it with you guys. But let me back up for a second to explain why I’m so excited about this.

A few months ago I purchased my first essential oil kit to see what all of the rage was about. I was soooo giddy when I turned on my diffuser for the very first time.

Our home was instantly filled with a wonderful aroma and I knew that this little guy was going to completely change our home.

And I was right! Ever since that day I’ve started making a big effort towards learning about the different types of oils and their purposes. They have been helping us so much with headaches, energy levels, moods and our health.

Just when I started to think about expanding out from my little collection, Simply Earth actually reached out to me about their products and asked if I would be interested in collaborating with them. Uhhh..heck yes!!

Simply Earth is a family owned business that cuts out the middleman to make essential oils available at price much cheaper than they are at other places. They also offer a subscription service where you can have a box automatically shipped to your home either monthly or quarterly. The box comes with 4 full size 100% essential oils, a couple extras, bottles and recipes for awesome DIY creations.

I was super happy to receive my first box!

It felt like Christmas morning and I was so eager to open it up and see what was inside.

Since it was my first order they included the Big Bonus Box which included a few additional items. They provide plenty of bottles and rollers to store your recipes in as wells as bright colorful labels to put on them.

Check out all of the goodies that they packed in this box! It includes over $150 worth of products inside, but is only $39–such an amazing deal!

Each box has a monthly theme and the recipe cards are for things relevant to that theme.  The June box theme is “Summer Loving” and the recipes are so perfect for the summer months.

1. Summer Day Diffuser Blend

I can already tell you that this is going to be running a lot at our house over the next few months. All four essential oils from the box come together to create a sweet summery combination that smells absolutely amazing and provides so many benefits.

  • Star Anise is known to uplift, comfort and aid in digestion.
  • Palmarosa promotes healthy skin, calms and helps sleeplessness.
  • Grapefruit energizes and supports mental focus. It also cleans naturally.
  • Head Soothing Blend is composed of lavender, Ho Wood and Frankincense. Together these oils ease tension headaches and neck discomfort.

Although the summer months are some of my favorite, we are always uber busy and easily get stressed out and run down. Having this blend going in the diffuser is going to help out tremendously!

Prior to receiving my box I actually had never ventured outside of the diffuser. However these next 5 recipes introduced me to a whole new world of using oils for hair, skin and body. And I must admit–I’m totally obsessed!

1. Beachy Hair Spray

Grapefruit has a fresh citrus scent and is known to promote healthy hair. So it makes sense that when combined with almond oil it becomes the perfect thing to apply to your hair during the hot summer months. This recipe creates a fun beach wave texture on days that I feel like ditching the flat iron and going for a more relaxed look. It makes my hair feel just like it does when we are by the beach!

3. Hibiscus Frozen Facial

I honestly had never heard of using dried hibiscus flowers before. It turns out that not only does it revive, exfoliate, tone, firm and moisturize skin, it also protects against premature aging. Who knew? This recipe combines dried hibiscus with aloe vera (which also slows aging), palmarosa and grapefruit to create the perfect frozen facial. It’s a wonderful way to unwind after a long hot day and makes me feel almost as relaxed as being at the beach–almost 🙂

4. After Sun Blend

Weekends during the summer are usually spent doing as many outdoor activities as we possibly can so we end up applying aloe vera pretty often. It’s common knowledge that aloe vera provides cooling relief for sun damaged skin, however adding in the head soothing blend and palmarosa oils takes it to a whole other level. These oils aren’t safe to apply to kiddos under 10, but this recipe is a real treat for mommy and daddy after hanging out in the sun.

5. Travel Buddy Roll On

I am absolutely in LOVE with this one. It’s designed to throw in your bag while traveling because it helps boost confidence, aid digestion, curb nausea and provides headache relief. I’m prone to migraines and get bad ones at least once or twice a month. I actually had one this past weekend so I mixed this up and instantly noticed a difference in pain and nausea. I now carry it in my purse so that I have it wherever I go!

6. Hibiscus Skin Repair Bath Salts

Another great way to use dried hibiscus is in the bathtub! These bath salts are easy to whip up and can be used in a nice relaxing bath to rejuvenate your skin.

I have been having so much fun mixing these creations up and am beyond excited to begin this journey with Simply Earth!

Ok, now it’s time for the exciting part! I am proud to announce that Simply Earth is actually offering an amazing deal to all of my readers. If you use the promo code: SBBANGELAFREE on a subscription order you will receive a $40 gift card with your first box (which also includes a Big Bonus Box)–this is huge guys!!

You can choose to use your gift card on another purchase or your next box. The Big Bonus Box will come with your first order and then every 6 months after that. You can also choose to cancel it at anytime which is a huge win in my book.

One last thing that I wanted to mention before I go was how surprised I was to learn that Simply Earth partners with various organizations (see some here). Each month they choose one to support. For instance, this month they are partnering with Compass Ministries whose mission is to inspire the community to act against human trafficking and provide exploited women with hope. They are giving 13% of their monthly profits to them and I couldn’t be more proud to partner with such an amazing company.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
