Hey guys, happy Friday and happy Christmas Eve-Eve! It’s crazy to think that Christmas is a mere two days away. I am ready, but at the same time I feel like this month has flown by faster than ever before.
We have hosted Christmas dinner for the last several years and although I always set out festive plates, I have never done fun table decor.
Since I enjoyed the one that I did for Thanksgiving so much, I decided to do a Christmas version this year and waned to pop on quickly today share how it turned out!
I stopped in Hobby Lobby this week to grab a few things since their Christmas line is 70% off right now. I scored this table runner (similar) for about $7, and added this garland that I got from Michaels–also on clearance!
I then set the same large glass candle holder lantern (similar) that I used for Thanksgiving in the middle with smaller ones (similar cute option) on the sides.
I wove some green velvet ribbon on top of the garland and topped it off with some large jingle bells (similar) and white ornaments.
For the place settings I started with a woven placemat (similar) and a silver charger (Dollar Tree) topped off with the Christmas plates that I got from Target a few years ago.
I then folded up a napkin and used a mini clothespin with a bow (similar) to hold the name card. The mini jingle bells came from Hobby Lobby as silver and I used some black spray paint and Rub n Buff to make them look antique.
We got this black silverware set at Thanksgiving and we have been so happy with them!
This mock set up was good practice for the big day when we will pull the table out and make 12 place settings.
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!
