Hello friends! I can hardly believe that we are officially less than two weeks away Christmas. I’m slowly but surely getting it together over here! This year we will be hosting a large family gathering on Christmas day, and since our dining table only extends out to fit twelve, I’ve been brainstorming ideas on how to create pretty additional seating.
I am pretty happy with what I have come up with and today I’m sharing my finds in case anyone else is in need of some additional seating for the holidays!
I decided to utilize the bench seating that we have since it’s next to our large dining area, but this set up would work anywhere you can squeeze it in.
I started with this folding bamboo table. The size was perfect, and I like how it has straight legs like a normal table so that all four sides can be comfortably seated unlike a lot of other folding tables that have bars on the ends.
Even though the table was pretty as is, I decided to take it up a notch by adding this tablecloth. It’s stain and water resistant which is a big bonus since this is the table where the kiddos will be!
I have a set of melamine holiday plates for the big table, so I wanted to find some that coordinated nicely, and these fit the bill perfectly!
Finally, I found this set of folding wood chairs that I am absolutely smitten with. I’ve always liked the idea of folding chairs because of how easily they store, but the typical metal ones never fit my style. These are gorgeous and the price for a set of four was surprisingly very reasonable!
Here is how it looks all put together.
Even though I didn’t have enough space to do a full decorative tablescape, I added in the little brass deer and mini tree to make it more festive.
I am really happy with how this little space turned out, and these items are all great investments for future holiday gatherings!
I will be back later this week to share this year’s Christmas home tour, have a great day!
