Hello everyone, and happy new year haha! It has been about two months since my last post. I took a bit of a hiatus, but I am finally back and my goal is to get a new post up each Wednesday!
Let’s kick off my return with a dresser makeover that I loved so much that we ended up keeping it!

When I first found this dresser on Marketplace I actually had no intentions of keeping it. In the end it turned out so pretty that I couldn’t bear to part with it!

I got started by giving it a good deep clean both inside and out. I then started sanding down the top and feet to raw wood.

Next, I scuff sanded the body to prep it for primer and paint.

One of the drawers was actually missing part of the bottom. Using some scrap wood, wood glue, nails and Bondo, I pieced it back together and sanded it smooth.

I taped off the top and feet and then applied a coat of primer.

Next it was time to work on the drawers. I sanded the top two down to raw wood and stained them a nice soft brown.

To make them more interesting, I decided to add a stencil. I rolled it on then lightly distressed it once it was dry.

I finished it up by staining the top and feet to match the drawers.

It also came with a mirror that I sanded down and stained to match. Here is how it all turned out!

Have a happy rest of the week!
