A Simple Rustic Christmas Tablescape

December 8, 2017

Happy Friday everyone!

Let me tell you guys, it has been one tough week around here.  Last Friday Tristan came down with a stomach bug that both me and the hubby proceeded to catch by Saturday.  It took us all until Wednesday to fully recover and then Lucas got slammed with a head cold that has now made it’s way to me.

It’s no fun and I’m just hoping to get these illnesses over with before Christmas!

In other news, I think I finally finished up the Christmas decorating!  (Of course I can’t truthfully say that because I almost always tweek a few things here and there after I declare that)

I plan to share a full Christmas home tour with you all next week but I am so happy with how cute our table turned out that I decided it needed it’s own post!

Decorating our table is always kind of a struggle since I like to make it pretty but still keep it practical enough to keep up every day.

I really had no idea what I wanted to do this year until I stumbled upon these pretty wood lantern  candles at Homgoods one day.

I was originally going to paint the chrome a darker color but once I set them on either side of the white lantern that I had placed in the center I decided that the shine actually really catches the eye nicely.
Instead of another candle in the middle I actually popped a bottle brush tree inside the white lantern.  I love how fun it is and it kind of gives it a nice whimsical feeling.
I wanted to incorporate some natural elements to make it feel rustic so I also added a large wood slice under the white lantern and some greenery/pincones on either side.

It’s nice and simple tablescape that can be enjoyed every day!

Thanks for hopping over to the blog today my friends, I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
Linking up to these awesome parties!

Beautifully done Angela. Just enough but also simple and full of interest. I especially like the tree inside the lantern.
