Summer Front Porch

June 15, 2021

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a great start to your summer so far. Ours has been wildly busy but fun. We’ve already enjoyed so many fun activities and are looking forward to the ones ahead.

Today I wanted to share how our summer front porch turned out. I actually just recently started decorating our porch for each season. Prior to last fall I would just set a simple flower pot out and called it done, but I decided that I wanted to start having more fun with this space. This was my first attempt at summer porch decorating and I am pretty happy with it!

I started with a couple of plant stands in the back. Both the black metal one and the wood and metal one are from Walmart and I like the height that they add.

I struggle pretty hard with keeping plants and flowers alive with exception to petunias–those I have mastered! As long as I water them daily and pick the wilted ones off they seem to flourish. I am trying out a couple of vines this year and the one that I put in the wagon planter is actually doing very well. The ceramic planter that it’s in is also from Walmart.

In the front portion of the wagon I put a little mister and a polka dot watering can.

Okay–how stinking cute this little black and white gnome?! I actually wasn’t sure if I needed him when I first spotted the little guy, but when I went home I couldn’t stop thinking about him so I went back later that same day. The boys have named him “Mr. Can’t See” since his eyes are covered haha.

You may recognize the flower market sign since I used it for the spring porch. It’s still fitting for summer so I left it out.

I wasn’t sure how well this burlap grow bag was going to work, but since the flowers I have in there seem to be pretty happy I think that I want to get a few more.

I found the lemon/lime wreath at Joann last year, but unfortuanately it doesn’t appear that they are selling it this year. It’s very unusual to find one with both lemons and limes on it, but I did find a similar lemon one on Amazon (link here).

I’m enjoying this little set up so much and it’s going to be hard to take it down come fall!

Thanks for swinging by today, I will see you back here tomorrow to give you all the final One Room Challenge progress post!

What pretty front porch decor! I really like the white, black and gray theme with the lemon wreath on the door.
