Hello and happy Friday! I am so pumped that spring is “technically” here–according to the calendar anyways! Here in Colorado, we are probably going to have a few more winter storms all the way through April, but the fact that we have beautiful spring days sprinkled in here and there makes my heart happy.
I always enjoy decorating our house for my favorite season and the kids get so excited seeing everything come out of storage because they know that means that Easter is right around the corner!
Even though I initially said that I was going to keep things pretty similar to how they were last year to make it easy on myself, I ended up switching everything up quite a bit. I’m going to let the pictures do most of the talking today–enjoy!
Front Room
I find that the easiest way to display seasonal decor is to style it inside of a cute tray. I start with adding height usually with a vase or container filled with faux florals and then tuck items in front.
The entry table is a focal point of our home so I always try to make it as bright and cheerful as I can by incorporating different florals.
Even though I like to stick to a neutral color pallet, lots of greenery keeps the room feeling fresh and interesting.
And of course, I make sure to squeeze in as many bunnies and eggs as I possibly can!
Kitchen
I don’t usually do much seasonal decorating in here, but I always enjoy creating a fun tray on the island.
Sidenote–the extra creamy Hershey’s eggs that I put in our candy jar are heaven!
I also tucked in a few accents on the counter by the window.
Dining Area/Mudroom Nook
Another easy tray! Same concept that I used in the front room, a taller vessel with florals with a candle and a small bunny in front. I stuck a corbel in the back to keep it from feeling too lonely.
Is it obvious that my favorite spring flowers are tulips? I have them pretty much everywhere haha!
These may be some of the last shots of our very worn dining table since I recently purchased a new one that I plan to refurbish.
I created the same simple centerpiece that I did last year since it’s so easy and pretty. A dough bowl with garland, flowers and eggs and it’s done!
I recently painted the console table and replaced the windmill with this new more bohemian piece and am really enjoying the new look.
Styling tables can be tricky! For this one I usually like to fill the large planter box up, flank it with seasonal items and then tuck pillows and more florals underneath.
Living Room
I like to put mini wreaths over mirrors to dress them up each season. I actually use these ones for spring through fall and just switch them up a bit in terms of what I have tucked inside.
I also like the dress up lanterns by sneaking seasonal florals inside. Don’t worry the candles are flameless haha!
I usually find the cutest bunnies in the Target Dollar Spot, but you have to grab them at the beginning of the season because they go super-fast!
For the last couple of seasons, I have kept our coffee table tray mostly the same with staple items and just switch out the florals and add little seasonal items like these bunnies.
Well that wraps up the tour! I hope you all enjoyed it and could find some inspiration that you could use in your own homes. Have a great weekend and I will see you back here next week 🙂
