Hey friends! Is it just me or has this month been flying by at a crazy fast pace? I have been so busy that it has taken me nearly a week to get around to writing this post since taking the photos! Better late than never?
Without further ado, I am excited to show you how this year’s Christmas home turned out!
Front Room
The front room is always one of my favorite spaces to decorate since it’s our “fancy room.”
Our new entry table is a little bigger than the old one so I struggled to figure out the best way to fill it, but I am really happy with what I came up with.
I like to stick to a mainly neutral color pallet, with touches of red tossed in here and there.
This where our family gathers on Christmas day when they come over for dinner so I like to make it feel extra festive and cozy.
Ever since we first moved in to this house I have dreamed of having a larger tree in the bay window, and this year I finally made that dream a reality!
This 9′ flocked tree is absolutely stunning and I love that it comes with a remote to switch it to beautiful colored lights whenever we want.
I kept the woodland theme that I created last year but added in some fun new ribbon.
The new chest of drawers next to the steps was fun to style since it’s so much higher than what was there last year.
It’s more at eye level so I get to enjoy what is on top of it a bit more.
Kitchen
The kitchen is pretty much the same as previous years with a few small updates.
The tree that sits in the corner got a new basket and it is amazing what a difference that made.
Since we now have shelving on this wall this year I made sure to add in a few Christmas-y elements.
We do a lot of holiday baking and cocoa making in here!
Dining Area
We switched the direction of the table at Thanksgiving and I have been loving the change!
It makes the whole room feel longer and it works much better for our family to move around. I filled the dough bowl with greenery and pinecones as usual, but decided to add in some bells and ornaments as well.
For the side console table I made sure to include a few pops of red.
I am really digging the jumbo ornaments that I found this year. They look so cute in the planter.
The sign that I hung at the top was from the Michaels after Christmas sale last year, and I was so excited to use it this year.
Mudroom Nook
The mudroom nook is pretty much the same as it was last year, although I added the cream velvet ribbon to the mason jars.
Living Room
The living room is where I usually throw in the most red since this is where our Santa themed tree sits.
This is the tree that used to be in the front room so it’s slightly larger than the one that we used here before and I feel like it fills the space much better.
I added a couple of new ornaments as well as some new ribbon this year.
This space is where we enjoy watching Christmas movies and sipping cocoa so I like to make it feel extra festive.
It’s also where Santa leaves all of his gifts so this truly is the most magical spot in the entire house and we love spending time in here.
Powder Room
And finally, let’s pop in to the powder room! I usually don’t add much in here but this year I decided to make it a little more fun.
I found this cool wreath at the Target dollar spot and I love how it’s the first thing that your eye is drawn to when you walk in.
I put a couple of extra items that I had on the shelves.
I hope you enjoyed this year’s tour and that you all have a very Merry Christmas!
