Hello and happy first day of SPRING! I am soooo looking forward to blooming flowers, warm sun and chirping birds in the next coming weeks. The weather this week in Colorado has actually been pretty mild compared to the harsh temps that we have had which is super exciting. I’m looking forward to enjoying some time outside with the boys tomorrow and Friday since I’m off from work!
In honor of the first day of spring, I want to share my new spring wreath with you guys! It was crazy easy and cheap to put together and I absolutely love how it turned out.

Michaels had the best price on both, but if you don’t live near one, both grapevine wreaths and tulips can also be found on Amazon.
Step 1. Cut Stems
I picked up 6 mini tulip bushes from Michaels for 2 bucks each. (I had already cut down the first two when I took the picture below.)
I used scissors to cut the plastic from each stem and then bent the wire until they snapped. It’s not really hard to do it this way, but I found myself thinking that I really need to invest in some floral wire cutters to make projects like this a little easier.
Each bush had 8 stems on it so I ended up with a total of 48.
Step 2. Arrange Tulips
I began by spacing a few all the way around, and then went back and gradually filled it in to ensure even spacing. Each stem had a couple of tulip heads which helped fill it out nicely.
I originally was going to hot glue each one in, but I found that they actually stayed pretty secure just being poked through the grapevine. So far I haven’t had an issue with any falling out and I liked the flexibility that this gave me to rearrange them as I was making it.
Yep that is IT. Two supplies, two steps and done. Doesn’t get much more simple than that!
I’ve seen similar tulip wreaths in the store with multiple colors like pink and yellow or orange and purple. They are really pretty, but you all know how much I love my neutrals so I’m really digging the all white.
I was going to add some speckled eggs and a bow, but I decided that I enjoy the simplicity.
Since I already had the grapevine wreath on hand, I only ended up spending the $12 on the tulips. Much less expensive than the ones that I have spotted in the stores!
