Happy Friday everyone! We made it through another week! I can’t wait for the weekend, even though it’s going to be a very busy one.
Today I want to share one of the easiest and cheapest ways to add interest to a blank wall. Scrapbook paper art!
These are so simple to make and I can’t believe it took me this long to think of it. One day while browsing Joann’s I found some scrapbook paper that was sooooo pretty. The only problem was, I had no idea what I could do with it!
Then I got to thinking, I had this empty picture frame laying around…
So I cut out my paper to the same size as the opening of the mat…
And realized that I cut it too small–whoops!!
Not to fear though, I knew the perfect fix that didn’t involve me driving back to the store and starting over.
I cut some pieces of coordinating ribbon that I had laying around and taped it on to create a border.
And just like that, my “whoops” turned into a good thing because the ribbon took it from okay to purdy 🙂
I hung it in our guest bathroom.
So simple, right? An outsider would never guess that this is just some paper and ribbon in a frame, it looks like I got this from Homegoods for at least $15.
Keeping it short and sweet today peeps, I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and I’ll be back next week to share the progress on our floating shelves that I mentioned on Monday. Maybe even the big reveal if I’m feeling really ambitious?? :0
Linking up to these awesome parties!
