Hello everyone! I’m back today with another fun nightstand set that I flipped last fall. I actually purchased these with intention of keeping them for our room since the design was so stunning, but the size ended up not working out.
Supplies Used:(Affiliate links may be provided for convenience. For more info, see my full disclosure here.)
I first cleaned them up (although you can’t tell in this picture, they were FILTHY!) and then I got to sanding.
I took the tops all the way down to the bare wood, although it was veneer so I had to be super careful! I hand sanded the columns on the sides, which was a lot of work but totally worth the final look!
I scuff sanded the rest, wiped it all down and taped off the wood sections before I sprayed a coat of primer on.
The next day I applied a couple coats of paint, then removed the paper and stained the wood. I had a lot of overspray areas and spots that the stain got in the paint, so I spent a good amount of time touching it all up!
Finally I was able to apply two coats of polyacyrlic, add the knobs and line the drawers. Here is how they turned out!
These beauties turned out so pretty and I was bummed that they didn’t work for our space! Luckily they were quick to find their new home.
I really love how the soft paint color blended with the light and warm wood stain.
I am so happy that you could swing by today, I will try to hop back on Friday to share one more!
