Happy Thursday friends! It’s hard to believe that summertime is pretty much over. This week I finally started bringing out fall decor and although I’m sad to see long summer days go, I am ready to enjoy a little bit cooler weather.
Okay let’s dive in to today’s flip!
Supplies Used:(Affiliate links may be provided for convenience. For more info, see my full disclosure here.)
I apologize in advance for the upcoming poor photos! This table was worked when I got home from work in December and it already was dark by 4:30. Hopefully you will still get the idea of the process!
This table was snagged from Marketplace at the same time as the matching end tables that I shared a couple of weeks ago.
After cleaning it up I scuff sanded the entire piece to prep it for primer.
Once it was dry I smoothed it out and applied a couple coats of white paint.
Next it was time to add some character to the drawers. I wanted to create a fluted look so Anthony cut a wood dowel in half on the table saw for me.
I cut them down to fit the drawers then applied them with wood glue and kept them in place with tape and clamps.
The next day when I took the clamps off I realized that since my cuts weren’t perfect they didn’t line up and I was left with a nice wave!
Anthony is more precise than I am so he helped out by using the jigsaw to trim them straight, taping off the edge to prevent wood fraying.
I stained the dowels, then sealed everything up with polyacylic.
I decided to add some bun feet to get it off the floor and to add a little bit more of a wood element. I also decided to distress the edges a bit.
It’s such a fun and different design for a table!
I hope you have a great rest of the week and weekend!
