Well hello friends and happy Wednesday! For many of you this may be the last day of your workweek as you prepare for an extra long 4th of July weekend! I actually decided to work on Friday since the hubby has a bunch of jobs scheduled, but hopefully it will be a quick easy end to the week!
I wanted to pop in quickly today to share this year’s summer home tour with you guys. I usually keep summer decor pretty simple compared to the other seasons since there’s already soooo much going on in our lives during these months. Between barbeques, long days of fun in the sun and vacations, I like to come home to a calm and relaxed home!
I didn’t decorate our new home for summer much last year since we had just moved in, so I had a ton of fun doing it this year!
Front Room
The goal for the entry table was to create a fun summery vibe.
The star of the show in this spot is definitely the pedestal that I recently made from thrifted candlestick. I’m so in love with how it turned out!
For the side table I kept the flower market bucket that I always use during the spring and added a mixture of a few different white flowers that I rounded up.
My trunk turned coffee table is such a fun piece on it’s own, so I prefer to keep the decor on it minimal.
My little wooden sailboat that I’ve had for years found a happy spot in this corner.
Dining Area
I have really fond memories of my Grandma making me daisy crowns when I was a little girl so I was extremely happy when I found these at Hobby Lobby to put on our table.
I still love my DIY beadboard art piece, especially how it looks in this spot. We have plans to build some shelves here soon, so I’m brainstorming where I could move it.
I wanted a whimsical feeling here and love how it came together!
Living Room
Ahhh..our most lived in room in the house! Trust me guys, it’s usually not this clean haha.
My lemonade pillow cover was a splurge a couple of years ago and I love bringing it out for summer.
The coffee table tray is typically filled with a bunch of Lucas’ plastic animals and to be honest it looks kind of lonely in this picture without them.
If you caught the spring home tour you will probably realize that I left the garland and flower market basket in place and simply replaced the eggs with lemons. Transitioning from spring to summer is easy like that! π
I actually made the flower market basket out of a magazine holder.
I added a strand of star lights to the mantle but they kind of blend in when they are turned off. I have a feeling that they will look better next year because I’ll hopefully have the brick painted white by then!
The wall with the card catalog dresser has a few summer touches.
Kitchen
And finally, I dressed up a little tray for the kitchen island.
Thanks for stopping today guys! I hope you all have a wonderful and safe 4th of July! I’ll be back next week, possibly with the reveal of our mudroom nook if we’re lucky π
Linking up to these awesome parties!

Hi Angela!
I enjoyed your summer home tour! You have everything decorated beautifully. You have so many pretty things – one thing I love is the round galvanized tray on the white pedestal stand. I would love for you to share your projects at Homestyle Gathering. The party is open until Saturday @7 PM. I hope to see you there.

Thank you so much Kim!! I actually just randomly threw that together using a thrifted candlestick but am so happy with how it turned out! I will check out your party π

Stunning pictures, I love how they look so mystical, do you use a filter to lighten your images.

Thank you so much Anita! I think a lot of it has to do with how much natural light we get, it adds kind of a real life filter haha. And then I do use Adobe Lightroom to lighten them up π
