I am super excited to be a part of this once again. The last two years I had an absolute blast putting together trees for this event.
In 2017 I created a winter woodland tree that I fell in love with and when we moved in to our new home I knew right away that I wanted this tree to go in our bay window up front. But then I realized that we needed a tree in the family room since it’s where we spend most of our time, and thus the rustic santa tree was created last year!
This year the same two trees are going up since I still love them both, but I decided to add just ONE more. Yes, the hubby thinks I am completely out of my mind…but look at how much it completes this little corner between our eating area and kitchen!
I found this tree at Walmart of all places for only $27 (linked here). Being only 4′ tall it’s the perfect size for this space, not too small and not too big! I just couldn’t resist it.
I decided to go all farmhouse which meant if I spotted an ornament that was wood or metal, it hopped in the cart!
I ended up with quite a few, but I tend to like super full trees so I think it came together perfectly.
I had a lot of fun choosing all of the ornaments and it’s honestly hard to pick my favorites! The hubby has come around to having another tree and has admitted that he especially loves the little wood sled ornament and the round mental ornaments.
The jingle bells are a fun additions and act as the perfect fillers. I kind of think I could get away with adding a few more!
All of the ornaments were budget friendly, with the most expensive one being $5, but most of them were $2 each. Even the galvanized star topper rang in at only 5 bucks!
Instead of a tree skirt, I decided to place it in this round basket that I snagged at Homegoods.
I think it’s much more fun than a tree skirt and it also allows the heater vent to remain uncovered which I suppose is somewhat important!
The stand rests perfectly on one of the horizontal pieces of the basket about half way down. A little bit of burlap hides it perfectly!
It fits in so well with our recently renovated farmhouse style kitchen.
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and have loads of fun browsing the other trees in this hop!
